WE RISE
We rise late
And tumble down
Towards it all:
A day suggested, infused,
Green and sunlit
Cloud and birdsong.
This late white
Bitter honey of May,
A mother’s scent,
A sparkled dew.

Beautiful, fine imagery.
Thanks, Janni
Well done Simon. Very tight for its brevity. Smiles…>KB

Are you putting all these poems in a new book
X
Eventually. I am a bit behind at the moment and am still putting together two from last year ( one of Devon writings, one of Wales)….
Ha ha!
PS I also would like to have your poems in a book to read. I don’t have all of them to print off myself and they are really good?
I think all pieces up to last year are available on our shop http://www.greenmanshop.co.uk and if not you can get them direct from http://blurb.com/shop. So far the titles are: “The House of Trees” ( which I am reformatting slightly at the moment); “Moonlight through Glass”, “A Wandering Mind”, “On Longer Tides”. As well as collecting together last year’s words, I am also working on two word/image books “Death and the Maiden” and “The Ascent of the Soul through the Spheres”, the former I hoped to have ready for this summer, but who knows……
I look forward to ‘Death and the Maiden’ and ‘The Ascent of the Soul through the Spheres’. Let me know. 🙂
I will! I was hoping to get “death” out by june, but it will be a monrh or so yet, i think
As bright and as achingly brief as the dawn.
